Let me introduce myself...Hello all! My name is Rebecca Lee and I have been teaching 5th grade for three years now. I began my teaching journey directly out of high school as I worked as a paraeducator at a local middle school in my hometown. This job is what showed me I wanted to be a teacher and I stuck with it through all of my schooling. I worked as a student teacher and long term substitute for a short time working with incredible mentors and building up my experience. While completing my credential program, I was offered a 5th grade teaching position and jumped on the opportunity. I love my job and my students and I am so unbelievably lucky to be where I am at in life.
The Journey of a Life Long LearnerA.A. in Social Sciences - Lassen Community College - 2017
B.A. in Liberal Studies - California State University, Chico - 2018 - Magna Cum Laude CalStateTeach Credential Program - 2020 Why I Teach....There are so many reasons why I teach. Most of all, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. I appreciate the endless opportunities to make a difference in the lives of my students each and every day, the connections I make with students, parents, and my colleagues, and the opportunity I have to continue my commitment to being a life long learner.
